Fidere is the Latin root word for "faith". I wrote this song at a time when I was experiencing a super low in life. I know the song doesn't sound that way, but you'd be surprised at how many positive songs come from dark places.
I had to go to a space of familiarity and confidence in creating the soundscape of this song. It had to feel like an adventure with the comfort of home. I hope this one soothes your soul, Kinfolk.
lyrics
Good enough, am I good enough, did I// Give it everything that I could enough, will these// Walls hold me down that I’m puttin up, did I// Move too fast when I shouldn’t of, I’m su//Pposed to stop but I don’t no, I get// Up and fight cause I want more yea I been// Pushed to places that I won’t go, but I// Know you won’t know what you don’t know so I just// Pray, using my faith, what I don’t// See I just bring it to this space, focus on// Me how I’m finishing this race// Only in the mirror where the winner will be placed so I just// Move on in to a new zone, uhn// Who are you this a new phone yea I been// Callin Angel numbers in a few tones, goin// Off till I’m on till I proved wrong
I know my time is coming, fly away fly away
I’ve seen the stars aligning, I’m okay okay, I know that// Givin it my all is enough// Even when I fall I get up/ I know my time is coming, fly away, fly away, fly away
Four o clock, it done came to me in the fourth watch// Tappin into something that ain’t no frills or store bought this// Real talk this what would happen if ___ ain’t get killed off, en//Visioning myself in that white Porsche till I peel off// See I been feelin like greatness is on horizon// patience for it’s arriving lately is just how I’ve been my// Homies outside when, I been in a lab coat// Mixin up these sequences and compiling madd notes// Baaah bitch I’m madd goat the wool has been fleeced only// Coverin my eyes with some Peoples Benedicts// Walkin in my truth and my purpose has been a treat and rea//Lizing that my soul is insurance has been a feat// Creating things I’m not seein in the present// Seeing me as king instead of seeing me as peasant// I can’t fuck with it if I’ll seemingly regret it if you// See me with a smile then you see me in my essence//
I move by faith and love with no hate, keep my// Peace I’ll be on my way
